To Try too Hard

So I drew a picture of Alya (and I have no idea what to call her character. I'd just use HER name but I don't know if thats okay with HER) and her, and... side by side it suddenly looked like she was trying too hard to look nice. Like I try to make Alya look pretty, even sultry, but I don't put her in fitted clothing or revealing things. Shes a little heavier around the middle and thighs and I make sure she is comfortable. But then... I draw this girl and its like she's TRYING to make people look at her, and BOOM, picture.

The original image, her character is POUTING because Alya is making fun of this fact that she's like asking for attention and leud comments. Eventually I tried to change it to more like she's looking away with a frown and a slight smile like she's still mad but it is funny.

.... to me it just looks like they're lookinga t something off camera. OH WELL.

_{All things considered, I also couldn't help looking at her thinking "HOLY CRAP she could really be a part of the 'extinct' blood alya has as when I wrote up the description for the race, I specifically included wings like hers. She has no real place in the story of my characters, she's just interesting to draw (and she's wearing three necklaces, lol I used to do that ALL THE TIME)}
